I appear to have fallen somewhat ill over the last few days. At first I thought 'twas merely a cold, but now in addition to the stuffy nose and the horrendous cough and the headaches, I think I might be running a bit of a fever, and I feel exhausted (though thankfully I haven't come down with a sore throat, because that's almost the most unbearable). I have to finish a paper by midnight, and I have to finish a literary paper and a math assignment by noon tomorrow. Preferably a good eight, nine, ten hours of sleep in between would be fantastic, but eight is probably the most I can hope for. A snow day would be phenomenal right now, but I can't get my hopes very high for that. Ugh. I feel terrible—completely insalubrious. And I feel very emotionally invested in a lot of different things right at this moment, which makes both paper-writing and (hopefully, soon) sleeping rather more difficult.

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." (Deuteronomy 31:8, on my mind tonight.)
